EMERGENCY SERVICES DISPATCH CENTER

lifecommOur Emergency Services Dispatch Center (LifeComm) provides dispatch services for our Mobile Intensive Care Units (Paramedics), Critical Care Transport Unit, and our Non-Emergency Transport service. LifeComm also provides 9-1-1 Emergency Medical Dispatch service for Townships of Ewing, Hamilton, Hopewell Boro, Hopewell Township, Lawrence, Pennington Boro, and the City of Trenton. Covering approximately 80% of Mercer County residents, with an annual call volume of 75,000 dispatches per year. (2004 statistics)

Capital Health Systems Emergency Services Dispatch Center is staffed by EMT's certified as 9-1-1 dispatchers who are trained not only to efficiently dispatch emergency services providers to the scene, but also to provide over-the-phone emergency care instructions. In addition, dispatchers re-locate our Emergency Units during the course of a day, to adjust for peak call levels and more evenly distribute resources around the county. LifeComm is the state wide dispatch point for Critical Incident Debriefing Teams.
